No, not really. But this is more an example of a product brand becoming the company brand, not the other way around. But Apple isn't full of OSX logos. It seems weird that the windows association needs to stay in their primary mark.

That's an Apple logo, not on OS X logo. OS X logo is the giant X, which you only see on OS X marketing material, not on iPods.
